I mean, there really isn't a better time of year here in the valley. The dull winter colors give way to a life-affirming rainbow of growth. Rivers and streams begin to swell as the high country begins its defrost. The warm weather and cool breeze just beckons us outside to Hike, Bike, Run, Garden, PLAY. Watching this little town come to life every year really allows you to appreciate just how lucky we are to live here.  Here is a highlight of some of the events happening in April.

BeaconFest, the area's largest party for boomers and seniors, is free to attend. This year's show features an exciting lineup of entertainment, free food, lively seminars and informational booths from over 80 local vendors displaying their senior-related products and services. Thousands of dollars worth of door prizes will be given away every half hour. Enjoy high-energy music throughout the day from local favorites, such as the King 'n' Trio, Peggy Malone and Danny Agajanian & The Hallelujah Band, as well as the easy-listening melodies of Javier de los Santos' classical guitar.

Viva el Vino is a fun wine, beer, and whiskey tasting event that features great international, national, and local wines, as well as scrumptious food and dessert. This fantastic evening also includes an elaborate silent auction that has something for everyone. As Junior Service League's main fundraising event, net proceeds from the event benefit local not-for-profit organizations through our Community Giving Grants program.
